Cinque Terra

Good Morning Friends,

I have been very busy traveling and look forward to telling you where I have been.

While I was in Italy we visited an area called Cinque Terra (cheenkway tare).  This means five towns.

There are five towns that are built on the edge and next to the Mediterranean Sea.  There are no roads for cars and you can only get there by walking, boat or train.  We hiked and took trains to the different towns.
While we were there a fire was on the cliff side and this plane would swoop down to the ocean to get water then fly back up to the fire and spray the water on it.  I guess they can't have fire trucks like us, only fire planes.
The farmers have spent the last 1,000 years making little shelves along the mountain side called terraces so they can plant their crops.
The beaches had soft white sand.
